The inspiration for this shoot was born in the middle of last winter, when it was cold and grey, and I was yearning for sun and color. It was executed on a hot day last June, surrounded by forest fires, with ash falling on our heads. From start to finish, this was a project of love and I can honestly say this body of work, is some of my proudest. I wanted to challenge myself, and in the process had the amazing blessing of working with some of the most beautiful and talented women around. I can’t say enough thank you’s to Sarah Winward, Jayne Swallow, Melissa Blackburn and April Benincosa for their talent, friendship, and incredible collaboration! A huge thank you to Mari and Blake for being our beautiful models and to my husband, Scott, for making 6 dozen bundt cakes, being the heavy lifter, U-haul driver, and all-around, wonderful supporter that he is. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
And I’m so excited to share that this shoot is featured in the current edition of Utah Bride and Groom! Thank you Val for the beautiful feature! There are so many wonderful articles and beautiful weddings in this issue! I’m honored to be a part of such an amazing magazine and collection of work.
Surprise! They have a baby! How cute are they?
Sarah Winward: Honey of a Thousand Flowers
Jayne Swallow: October Ink

This September I had the opportunity to collaborate with the amazing Sarah Winward, of Honey of a Thousand Flowers on an Autumn Inspiration shoot, for Once Wed. Sarah is such a gifted artist, and I’m constantly inspired by the beautiful design and aesthetic of Once Wed, so it was a dream come true. You can check out the posts, here, here, and here! I’m so very excited! I loved working with Sarah. She is always calm and graceful, it helps smooth my sometimes frazzled mind. We were just two pregnant ladies, doing our thing. And now Sarah has her own beautiful girl here, and Jack is coming any day. So much happiness coming my way.
Love, Lindsey

Over a year ago I shot at this beautiful Berry Farm in Payson, Utah. I couldn’t get Phelps Berry Farm off my mind, and a year later this Raspberry inspired shoot was born. I’m going to post the full shoot later this week, but I wanted to give a quick glimpse and say thank you to all the wonderful, beautiful, talented women who collaborated on this project. And Style Me Pretty for featuring it today! Pretty please with a raspberry on top, head on over and send some love our way. This was my secret baby project for over a year, and I couldn’t be prouder or more grateful for all the friendships, talent, and beauty that came together on shoot.
Thank you to the wonderful team at Style Me Pretty for featuring this today! We are so honored!

I have been holding onto Kristy and Adam’s beautiful Zion Vow Renewal for quite awhile. Their feature just came out in Destination I Do magazine and it is perfect! Kristy is the talented genius behind Momental Designs, where she makes beautiful, custom invitations and stationery. I was honored and excited when she asked me to photograph her 10 year wedding anniversary in Zion National Park. It just happened to my 10 year anniversary the same month, so I got to live a little bit of the dream along with Kristy and Adam. Every detail was lovingly thought out, and so much care was put into making the day memorable, lovely, delicious, and fun. Kristy and Adam are from Scranton, PA, but fell in love with Zion during one of their National Park explorations. For their May 15th, 2010 renewal, they headed out West with a small party of loved ones and celebrated in style. Kristy has some wonderful thoughts on planning and executing their big day, which you can find here. Thank you so much Kristy and Adam! I loved witnessing the renewal of your love and commitment and I am excited for all your future adventures! And thank you Destination I Do for the wonderful feature. I feel all kinds of fancy.

I’m so honored and excited to share Maile and Mitch’s wedding feature in Utah Bride and Groom. Val did a beautiful job laying out the magazine. If you haven’t already, you should pick up a copy. Utah Bride and Groom is consistently top notch, and I feel pretty special to be there, amongst all the lovelies and inspiration. Of course, it all comes down to Maile and Mitch, and their beautiful wedding and wonderful team they had working for them. Thank you Val and Utah Bride and Groom, for the amazing feature. I have my copy purchased, on the bookshelf with pride!

So, back in 2011 I was published in this kinda amazing magazine. Oh, it was just this little thing called, PDN’s Top Knots. Ya know, no big deal :) And then I got super busy with wedding season, and never got around to sharing my happy news. But here I am, finally getting to it. I was in such beautiful company, and was so honored and excited to see Alex and Blake’s lovely kiss amongst all the inspiring images. There is something about seeing your work in print, in an actual magazine, that gets my heart all a flutter.
So, better late than never, I present PDN Top Knots, 2011! Cool, right?
There it is! There it is!
The online version, and the actual version.
Love, Lindsey

i just wanted to say congrats again!!! and i am honored that it was a photo you took of us that made it into the magazine! blake and i feel like celebs, and we show our copy to everyone who enters our house (which is basically a very small amount of people, but hey! we’re still super stoked about it!), and we spread the word about green apple photography all the time! we sure loved having you do our photos for us and loved getting to know you! you did an amazing job, and you are such a neat person! i feel like we are very good friends. there is something about a wedding photographer that makes them feel very very close to you. i think it’s because you got to share all the big, exciting, special moments with us. thanks again for capturing all of those beautiful moments on our big day! hope all is going well for you!-alex

- What a great 5 days, well done to every body iovvlned, Jasmine is right Sachin “just start running” go for it. I have been doing wedding for a year now and I really enjoy it, I started as a 1st and don't have a second shooter, its very hard covering the whole day on your own. Think after watching the course I might start using a second shooter, Best of luck Sacin, “just keep it real” and have a great time. Peter.

- Great post Sachin! This cmmoent, “Its important to be inspired, but its more important to be inspired and take action.” really hit a nerve with me. I think I have a ton of inspiration but with that I also have a ton of fear of taking action. Something I have to work on. Thanks again for sharing your experience with all of us. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Stunning!
