First bridal of the season, and it doesn’t get better than this! Liz’s beautiful dress is now nicknamed the “Liz” at her bridal shop. Fitting, I think, since she wore it so beautifully. You wouldn’t really know it, but this was one windy day. WINDY! I tell you. Liz was calm and composed during the huge windstorm, and her hair was expertly prepped for the occasion, didn’t move at all :)
I think Liz looks so beautiful, and I have been loving this early, mild spring we have been having! Two lovely elements coming together!

It was cold on the day of Becca’s bridals. Very, very, very cold. But Becca was amazing. First off, one of my favorite dresses, ever. If there was snow, I would have started singing, “White Christmas,” she reminded me so much of Vera-Ellen. Becca was stopped everywhere we took pictures. Everyone wanted a photo of her dress, so they could show their daughters. It was just that awesome. And 2nd, Becca was just so pretty, and sweet, and happy, you couldn’t help but love her. I think she looks absolutely beautiful. And now she is on her honeymoon, where it is warm and sunny! See, you endure bridals in the bitter cold, and then you get a tropical honeymoon.
That seems a fair exchange, right?

I have been waiting ever so patiently to show Sallee’s beautiful bridal session. Winter sessions can seem daunting, with the snow and cold, but they always turn out so beautiful. It always surprises me just how much color there is in the winter, and throw in that soft winter light and a gorgeous bride and it’s a recipe for perfect. Sallee’s 1940′s inspired dress is amazing, and reminded me so much of my grandma’s dress, but wonderfully updated. Beautiful bride, beautiful day, perfect way to start off the New Year (or almost New Year!)

These two are happy and in love and perfect. I loved their groomals, and how they kept each other laughing the whole time. It’s fun to look back just a few months ago, and know that now they are married now, and getting ready to celebrate their first Holiday season together! I remember my first Christmas with Scott, in our little, little basement apartment and the very full Christmas tree that shed all of it’s needles in the first week.
I hope you have a magical Christmas Kristen and Patrick!

I loved this bridal session. Mainly for just how simple and lovely it was. Just two people in love, dressed up all fancy in their wedding clothes, spending some quality time in an apple orchard! But mainly, I love how authentic and real Kirstin and David are, and how much their happiness translates in the photos. They are now newlyweds, and I’m so happy for them! Congratulations Kirstin and David!

I was so excited when Tara asked me to photograph her engagements and bridals. It’s a small world in Salt Lake, and once we got together, I realized I had photographed Braden’s brothers wedding, and Tara had her senior photos taken at Silver Pelican Photography, the studio I used to work for. Which kind of made me feel old, but no big deal. There was some serious weather drama during both sessions. We originally had planned to do the engagements up in Park City, but one of our serious summer storms came through, and we moved it down to Salt Lake (this happened to me more than once this summer!) And then for the bridals, we decided to go up to our original Park City location and it poured. I was convinced it wouldn’t rain, as I usually have pretty good luck, but I was wrong. We got some seriously intense rain. Luckily, the sun kept popping in and out during both sessions, and we were able to take photos in between. And even more lucky, it was a GORGEOUS day on their wedding. Which they definitely deserved after enduring two rain-filled sessions. I loved getting to know Tara and Braden, who are as genuine as they come. And I think our photos turned out fabulous, so take that rain!
Thank you again Tara and Braden! I wish you all the best!

A beautiful day, a wonderful couple. What more could I ask? A fun thing about Meg’s dress, is that it is her grandmother’s, remade. The lace on top is all new, but the silk is from the original dress. How cool is that?
Meg and Trevor had a gorgeous wedding a couple of weeks after this, and it was one of the sweetest, loveliest weddings.
I can’t wait to show you!

I think you may want to place a twitter icon to your blog. Just marked down the article, but I had to make it by hand. Simply my advice.

Welcome to my new blog! I’m so very excited for this change. I love how clean and simple this new site is. And I have so very many pretty things to show you. Thank you for following me here and all the wonderful support I have received over the last four years. I feel so fortunate and blessed to have worked with so many wonderful people, doing what I love.
A huge thank you to Melanie from Fifth and Hazel for the website and blog design. David Cox for the original watercolor design, and setting the design on it’s original course. And last, but not least, Alex Hall for his wonderful coding, and patience through all my changes.
I worked with a great team!
And now on to Tessa’s amazing bridals! What can I say? Tessa is dazzling, she brought her great-grandmother’s veil and a fabulous blue chair. I’m pretty sure I love her. And I loved this session so much. I was so inspired by Tessa’s beauty, inner as well as outer. She just glows.
