I've been a photographer almost half my life. I picked up the camera seriously as an art student, and accidentally fell in love with a medium that I never thought would be mine. I haven't stopped since. My story includes how I graduated with my photo degree in 2005 and built up a wedding business at a small studio for two years until starting my own 10 years ago. But rather then mapping my how, I'd rather share my why. When I started my own company I was in the midst of change. The studio that I helped grow was ending, the family I had hoped to start grow looked like it might never happen, I was hitting my 30 year decade mark and it was a moment of deep reflection. I made the choice to focus on beginnings rather then endings. I leapt in with a full heart and no running-your-own-business experience. I made mistakes, I learned, I grew. My family and business grew in tandem together, and if you've been my client anywhere in there, you probably saw me pregnant, or with a baby in those years. Because of that you've become part of my story, and I, hopefully, part of yours. I remember all of you and I love you. Green Apple Photography is my first child. My why is you. Your story. So much has changed in this industry, I mean will I ever figure out Instagram? I hopefully have changed and grown too, but sharing in your lives and documenting the most important moments in it has always been my anchor in this world. As I have had my own children I recognize even deeper how meaningful it is to have those tangible memories. I get teary when I look back, and have never once ever, ever, ever regretted having that image to cherish. I want that for you. Whether it's your wedding, your first child, your first dog, your grandparents 50th wedding anniversary I want you to have those memories captured. My promise is to always document you as faithfully and as beautifully as you are. To capture that magic that is you, your love and your life. Thank you, as always, for your trust in me these last 10 years. It has meant everything to me and my family.
